WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND

What does equality have to do with this universal law of nature?

Firstly, do you recognise this law as a law of nature?  Whatever you give out to the universe will come back to you.  If  you spend enough time in contemplation, you will recognize that this is true no matter how small or how big the intention coming from you.

One shining example that was played out to all Americans was a football star by the name of OJ Simpson.  Good looking guy, star athlete yet killed two people including his wife, in a jealous rage.  His trail was broadcast with all the drama over the television for all to see.  Got off "scott free". My secretary at the time was so disappointed.  He was walking around free despite killing two people. I remember remarking to her, "watch this, as the law of nature will apply, no one escapes". Sure enough, many years later he gets arrested for some minor offense relatively, yet gets put in jail for many years.  The law of nature always applies, not the law of man.

Ok. So I get it that what I give out will come back.  How does this apply to equality?

Watch what you give out in regards to equality with spouses, bosses, friends, whoever.  If you harbour some resentment that the other person has more than you, is treated better than you, this secret resentment will be communicated in some subtle way regardless of your awareness.

Can you be more objective or centered about a situation which is out of your control?  Yes men earn more than us for doing the same work, we have to work four times as hard to be respected in our professional fields etc.  Recognize that this is so and unless you can see a clear path to changing that very situation, let it be.  Recognize it for what it is.  Being centered, calm, true to self and what is, is more powerful than subtle outburst of anger created by the feeling of inequality.

I agree completely...trying to prove that you can do the same job as a man is like trying to push water. I believe it's good to know inside yourself what you are capable of and what ethical path you are willing to take to get there. I also agree that life is about Karma - do no harm and none will be done to you....But nonetheless, it burns my ass to know I can do better than most men and not get the recognition!
